Types of liver tumors
- Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC): primary liver cancer, often associated with hepatitis B, hepatitis C, or fatty liver
- Liver metastases: secondary deposits from cancers of the colon, rectum, breast, neuroendocrine tumors, and others
- Benign liver tumors: hemangioma, focal nodular hyperplasia, hepatic adenoma (some need surgery, most do not)
- Cholangiocarcinoma: cancer arising from the bile ducts within the liver
